Watch out for these points in your agreement

1. Check the receipt of the security deposit

A security deposit is a must. Almost every landlord will ask for it. But it is also a matter of contention when it comes to refunding it. Make sure that you receive a receipt for your security deposit.

2. Is the room furnished?

You should make sure whether you are signing up for a furnished or an unfurnished apartment. At times you are shown a furnished room but it turns out that it belongs to the current roommate. Check the agreement carefully and read between the lines. Are there any hidden clauses?
